Hi! I’m Amber (she/her), an experimental artist currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I was born in Sheffield, England and spent most of my childhood on Long Island, New York and in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area.

My process is primarily based in photography, with an emphasis on alternative processes like film soup, cyanotype, lumen printing and scanography. I also shoot 35mm film, instant film and digital formats.

I take every opportunity I can to let my curiosity get the best of me! “What if?” is a question that I love to ask and answer. Experimentation, trying new things and playing with new-to-me mediums and methods is an important part of my artistic process. I love that experimentation asks me to step out of my comfort zone, let go of perfection and enjoy the grounded, human experience of trial and error. 

Much of my work combines nature’s inherent beauty with surreal, whimsical elements to create visuals that feel like they belong to another world, but are very much a part of this one. I like to infuse as much joy and fun as I can into my pieces. Through my art, I hope to show others the magic on our planet that’s hiding in plain sight and that a brighter, more colorful world is always possible.
